What this policy covers

This policy covers the website at galixstudios.com, run by Galix Studios Pty Ltd ("we", "us"). It does not cover our apps. Each app has its own privacy policy, published on that app's own website.

What we collect on this website

Almost nothing. This site is a set of plain pages:

• No cookies are set by us. If you turn animations on or off, your browser remembers that one choice in its own storage on your device. It is never sent to us, and clearing your browser data removes it.
• No analytics, advertising or tracking tools are used.
• No accounts or sign-ins, and no forms that send anything to us. The website planner on our Websites page and the message box on our home page run only in your browser. They show you the finished email, and you choose how to send it: your own email app, Gmail or Outlook (which open their own websites, under their own privacy policies), or by copying it. Nothing reaches us unless you send that email.
• No fonts, scripts or images are loaded from other companies. Everything comes from this site.

Hosting and server logs

The site is hosted by Cloudflare, Inc. Like any web host, Cloudflare processes the technical details that every browser sends when it loads a page, such as your IP address, the page requested, the date and time, and your browser type. Cloudflare uses this information to deliver the site and to protect it from abuse, under its own privacy policy at cloudflare.com/privacypolicy.

If Cloudflare needs to check that a visitor is not an automated attack, it may set a strictly necessary security cookie. It is not used to track you.

Cloudflare runs a global network, so this information may be processed outside Australia, including in the United States. We do not use these logs to identify or profile visitors.

If you email us

When you email hello@galixstudios.com, we receive your email address, your name if you include it, and whatever you choose to write. We use it only to reply to you and, if you ask for a quote, to prepare and discuss that work with you. If you ask us to tell you when one of our apps comes out, we email you about that app when it launches, and then delete the request.

We do not add you to a mailing list, and we do not sell or share your details with anyone, except where the law requires it. Emails are stored with our email provider, Google (Google Workspace), which may store them outside Australia, including in the United States. We keep them only as long as we need them to deal with your enquiry and to keep proper business records.

Australian Privacy Principles

We handle personal information in line with the Australian Privacy Principles in the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth). You can ask what personal information we hold about you, and ask us to correct or delete it. We reply within 30 days. If you are in the European Union or the United Kingdom, you also have rights under the GDPR, including access, correction, deletion and objection.

If you are not happy with how we have handled your information, please contact us first. If we cannot resolve it, you can complain to the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner at oaic.gov.au, or to your local data protection authority.

Children

This website is for a general audience and does not knowingly collect information from children.

Changes to this policy

If we change how this website handles information, we will update this page and the date at the top.
