Website terms

Who we are

This website, galixstudios.com, is run by Galix Studios Pty Ltd (ACN 703 560 141, ABN 22 703 560 141), a company registered in Queensland, Australia ("we", "us"). By using the site you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use it.

Prices and quotes

Prices on this site are starting prices in Australian dollars and include GST. They are a guide, not an offer: every website is different, so the price, what is included and the timing are set out in a written quote. Work starts only when you accept a quote, and the quote and its terms are the agreement between us. If anything on this site differs from your accepted quote, the quote applies.

The founding offer

Our first five websites are 20% off the quoted price, for the first five quotes accepted. In return we ask for an honest review, good or bad, and permission to show your finished site in our work. You are free to say what you really think. When we publish a review given under this offer, we say that the client received the founding discount. The offer ends once five quotes have been accepted, and it cannot be combined with any other discount.

The example sites

The sites under Work (for example Saltwater Plumbing & Gas, Fern & Flour, Tidewater Physio and Gloss & Co.) are examples we designed and built to show what we do. The businesses, people, prices, reviews and details in them are made up, and any likeness to a real business is not intended. Their phone numbers are ones the Australian Communications and Media Authority sets aside for fiction, and their email addresses do not work. Photos in them are licensed stock photos of models, not real staff or customers.

Our apps

Apps marked "coming soon" are not yet available, and what they do may change before they are released. Each app has its own terms and privacy policy, and is also covered by the terms of the store you download it from.

Our content

The words, designs, code, images and the Galix Studios name and logo on this site belong to us or to the people who licensed them to us. You are welcome to read, link to and share pages, but please do not copy or reuse our content, designs or code without our written permission. Websites we build for clients are owned as set out in their quote.

Information on this site

We work to keep this site accurate and up to date, but it is general information about our services, not advice for your particular situation. Measurements we quote, such as page weights, describe the example sites on the date stated next to them.

Links to other websites

Some links take you to other websites, for example Gmail or Outlook when you choose to send us an email that way. Those sites are run by other companies under their own terms and privacy policies, and we are not responsible for them.

Your consumer rights

Our services come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law. Nothing in these terms limits those rights. Apart from those rights, and as far as the law allows, we are not responsible for any loss that comes only from using the general information on this website.

Security

If you find a security problem with this site, please tell us at hello@galixstudios.com. Our Standards page and our security.txt file explain how we handle reports. Please do not test the site in ways that could harm it or its visitors.

Privacy

How we handle personal information is explained in our privacy policy.

The law that applies

These terms are governed by the law of Queensland, Australia, and the courts of Queensland can decide any dispute about them.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. The date at the top shows when they last changed.
